On November 18, 2016, Lt. Ewart T. Sconiers was flown on Delta commerical flights from Germany-- to Atlanta, Georgia-- to Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. His official Army escort was Master Sergeant Hector Luis Albert, Jr.

Though Master Sergeant Albert has served in the Army for 19 years, this was his first assignment as an official escort. He shared the photos below with Sconiers' niece, photos taken as Lt. Sconiers was boarding the plane in Atlanta. Master Sergeant Albert told Sconiers niece that, upon hearing about Sconiers, the passengers on the plane applauded.
